On
Tuesday the 18th of October, EXP joined forces with Trudon Corporate Social
Investment (CSI) to unveil a sponsorship of a digital innovation centre at
Kwena Molapo High School in Lanseria. The High School was adopted by Trudon as
is the first school in this project to be equipped with a digital learning
environment.
Trudon are planning to implement this model at other previously
disadvantaged schools in the future.Over
the recent school holidays, the High School underwent renovations to a
classroom block where three classrooms were upgraded and an environment
conducive for an E-Learning Centre. Interactive Smartboards and Laptops were
installed and a Laptop (E-Learning Centre) was put in place to cater to grade
8-12 students in the field of computer literacy.
The
interactive Smartboard technology incorporates software specified for specific
grades curriculum subjects and comes with a large, touch-enabled surface that
allows teachers and students to write in digital ink, erase, move objects and
control applications with a finger or pen. The software also helps teachers
create, deliver and manage high-impact interactive lesson activities.
EXP
have done fantastic work with Trudon through the Yellow Pages athletics
sponsorship but this is the first time that the agency was asked to do CSI work
for the company and the event was pulled off to great feedback from a delighted
client.
The
event was attended by a representative from the Gauteng Department of
Education, teachers and learners from Kwena Molapo High School and several
representatives from Trudon, including Managing Director Thabo Seopa.
EXP
delivered a smooth, efficient event that covered off key deliverables for a
Press Conference including all branding, AV and audio requirements, catering
and Press Kit materials.
