EXP currently manage the Bafana Bafana
sponsorship on behalf of Absa and were tasked to come up with a concept to
bring the sponsorship closer to Absa clients. We came up with the branch visit,
affording Absa clients an exclusive, once in a lifetime experience of
interacting with their national team heroes.
Ahead of the opening match of the 2014
World Cup Qualifiers at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium, South Africa head coach
Pitso Mosimane was joined at the Rustenburg Plaza Absa branch by captain Steven
Pienaar, who plies his trade in the English Premier League, and fellow
teammates Itumeleng Khune, Teko Modise, Siphiwe Tshabalala, Katlego Mphela and
Morgan Gould.
The EXP team who handled this branch visit
needed to ensure that all elements of the visit were administered with emphasis
placed on the logistics of the visiting delegation. The safety and travel
aspects were also a priority consideration, and this meant that that the Exp
team were in constant dialogue with SAFA and Absa throughout the process.
The players were welcomed to the branch by
Regional Manager David Monene and Branch Manager Ashanti Mackenzie. Absa staff
members who recently excelled at work were rewarded with opportunities to take
photos with their favourite player, signed autograph cards and match tickets.
The Bafana delegation then made their way
into the branch where they mingled with staff and Absa clients handing out
signed autograph cards and match tickets and took the time to pose for
photographs. The Exp team on the ground ensured that the branch visit went off
smoothly and encouraged staff and clients to interact with the Bafana Bafana
superstars.
